Wound as a rib over a darker body thread it creates the segmented profile that triggers takes on heavily-pressured tailwater fish; used as the primary body material on a slim-bodied nymph it gives the fly the copper flash that imitate the gas bubble of an emerging midge without the hard glint of wire.
