Castable lever drag with L.R.S. cam

Compact, high-speed castable lever drag built for heavy-line applications. Ships pre-installed with an L.R.S. (Long Range Special) drag cam that delivers maximum drag output at the heavy end of the lever, plus oversized carbon drag washers that hold ultra-high pressures without fade. The drag is waterproof when engaged — wet hands, deck wash, and rolling seas don’t change the curve mid-fight.

S A-RB Baitcasting bearings

S A-RB bearings are put through the same process as Shimano’s A-RB bearings but feature shields on both sides of the bearings. These shields reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting rotation of the bearing.

Smoother Drag Pressure with the Included Mono Cam

The mono cam gives the Talica 8 LD a smoother, more controlled drag curve for anglers fishing monofilament or lighter topshots. Instead of the drag pressure ramping up too aggressively as the lever moves forward, the mono cam creates a more gradual increase, making it easier to fine-tune pressure at strike and throughout the fight.
